Apple will buy DarwinAI. This is a very small acquisition and likely a talent grab.
The TikTok ban momentum is growing. The House passed a bill to force Byte Dance to sell it. Byte Dance will not sell it, which means this is an effective ban. The Senate is delaying a vote on the bill. Biden has already said he would ratify if passed.
Zscaler will buy Avalor to expand further into SIEM.
Match Group has attracted another activist investor in Anson Funds. Elliott is also involved. Anson met with the team and is supposedly pushing broader usage of AI. I’d rather have them demanding a top-of-funnel recovery at Tinder. That’s really all that matters right now.
